This is a beautiful lake. Gets little noisy in the season. We have stayed at the cabins, very nice accommodation. Close to the lake and to Winchester. We have rented a boat. Gets more and more expensive every year. Be careful in the summer time....More

Tim's Ford has a lot of great bike trails. They also have a shady peaceful playground. The pool is also a great things to do while you are there. Ice cream in the camp store. Tim's Ford is a great place to go and relax.

Mr. Randy Tipps is correct. The lake is named after Abner Tims who helped construct a ford where the current dam now sits.
