The host we talked to was very helpful and gave us good information not just about tubing, but also Townsend establishments. The changing facilities at both locations were clean and well kept. The river was low when we went, but still enjoyable. Watch the weather,...More

Floating down the cool waters of the Little River is a great way to spend a hot summer day. The River Rat provides the tubs, nature provides the refreshing water and drying sun. A trip last 1 to 2 hours depending on the current and...More

Had a great time! The kids 17 and 11 liked it too. There was a few spots we had to stand up but it's still worth the trip. I had went the weekend before too just after a storm and it only took us 45...More

We had a GREAT TIME. It was a little work at time, but it was wonderful. The teens thought if we had done this in our first day of vacation they would have done this and skipped some of the other excursions. Highly recommend.

The water was quite low when we went, but it didn't spoil the enjoyment of floating down the river in the sunshine. The organisation was efficient and all employees we dealt with were excellent. It's a great way to spend a few hours.

Sorry. It's the business next to it. It's less expensive, maybe, because it's a shorter run.
Do you pick what section of the river to float down or does everyone do the same? I see someone posted they picked the slower section so I am confused. Also does the river move you along pretty well do you end up having to hand paddle? I know water level has a lot to do with it

Sorry for late response. The water was low when we went and we did have to hand paddle a little. And walk a little. Everyone does the same route. It was very fun though. Very relaxing.
