You would think it’s hard to get excited about printing but everyone was spellbound. Fabulous presentation, hands on activity, and an unbelievable overview of a 100 year old company that still makes posters by hand. Loved it!

Really enjoyed this Off the cuff museum. It's located inside the same building as country música hall of fame, and you can get your tickets there or online. The tour itself is small groups, so you get bang for your buck. Most of the tour is inside the educational space where they go over the history of hatch show print, then you get to ask questions & finalize your own poster.
The history of this place is really cool, they still print posters the "old school" way with many original products! Def a must visit if you like these kinds of tours.

I’ve been to N’ville several times but this was my first visit to Hatch Show Print. You must visit this gem. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can spend a lot of time here just looking at poster after poster of your favorite county music hall of famers

Hatch Show Print has an incredible history in music that transcends genre, so even if you're not a fan of the overall country music scene in Nashville, Hatch Show Print is a great stop for anyone that enjoys history, music or art. The tour is well worth the cost for just the mini print you get to create and take home, but the overall tour is rich in story, history, and very informative. Hatch Show Print is still a working shop that prints multiple posters for a number of concerts throughout the country, and it's fun to see that working space. The classroom where another portion of the tour takes place is filled wall to wall with posters that will have people of every age point out an artist they're familiar with or even a show that they've been to. Highly recommended visit while in Nashville!

Last summer we visited Hatch Show Print in their Broadway store. It has since relocated to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The space is larger and new, but the vintage charm is still alive with the same wall of wooden block letters that defined the Broadway location. The tour begins in the print shop, where the guides explain the history and the production process. You can't walk around the production area, but there is still plenty to see from presses to posters. The second half of the tour is in the classroom. The room is lined with walls of Hatch Show prints, making it a visual feast. We learned more details about the printing process in the classroom, and saw examples of vintage and new posters. At the end, everyone had the opportunity to press their own keepsake poster from a preset design.
The retail store has a wide selection of prints for sale, as well as cards, t-shirts, and other souvenirs. The Hatch Show Print gallery in the same wing is also worth a stop. When I initially found out that Hatch Show Print had moved from its Broadway location, I was disappointed. The new Hall of Fame location allows visitors more opportunities to appreciate the history and artistry behind the prints.

So so cool to learn about how the posters are printed and to see them in action. The shop and gallery are amazing and I highly suggest checking this place out. The gallery has rotating exhibits and the one on display now was really unique. You can also purchase things from the gallery as my wife and I purchased 3 things, the guy was super nice and packed everything up nice for us. If I ever come back to town, I will 100% be back!

This was a good add on to the Hall of Fame experience, but went on for too long in my opinion. I was impressed with the artwork and the history of the Hatch family and their impact on entertainment in Nashville (and beyond), yet the tour/talk could’ve been trimmed down 30 minutes or so. You do get a cool print as a keepsake and the gift shop has some fun stuff, but you can also visit the gift shop without seeing the “behind the scenes” show.

Biased review coming from a printer family. Preserving the integrity of the craft after all these years! A lot of work and time go into those posters, they just don't print like that anymore. Thanks Sarah for a great tour.

We visited the shop after our Country Music HOF tour, but decided to go back for the Hatch tour a few days later. So glad we did. The tour is not long, but you get a great overview of letterpress history, and how the rise and fall and rise of the Broadway area had affected the shop (what the effect of the Ryman closing in the 70's did to the area and the print shop). Loved the look of the prints, which just can't be duplicated digitally, and we even got to roll the top copy on our own print.
They do accept AAA, as do many attractions in Nashville.

I am a graphic designer, and have long loved the work of Hatch. A stop in the shop was a dream come true for me. The staff was friendly and took time out of their schedule to talk with our family. A true part of Nashville history for 130 years and counting. Wonderful!!!

Can you just pay for this tour or do you have to also buy a ticket to the CM Hall of Fame in order to go on the tour?

Hello,
You can purchase the Hatch Show Print tour separately for $18, per adult. If you would like to go into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, also, the Hatch Experience Package ($40.95/Adult) includes both.

We booked a private group tour that lasted an hour; about thirty minutes in the print shop area and thirty minutes in a classroom where we got to each make a mini print to take home.

No, there isn't any customizing. They may have two prints to choose from but you just roll the ink on the pre-printed stock. It's a nice, dated souvenir and the tour is well worth the time and money.
