Fontanel Mansion is a 27,000 square foot log home formerly owned by Country Music Hall of Fame(R) member Barbara Mandrell, and is Nashville's only country music mansion tour giving visitors a sneak peek into the lives of country music greats. The home, situated on the 136 acre property, is nestled in the rolling hills of the Whites Creek Valley. With The Inn at Fontanel, the Woods Amphitheater, Pritchard's Distillery the Pepsi Studio Gallery, Cafe Fontanella, Music City Ziplines by Adventure Works, The Trails and Metro Parks Greenway, it is easy to see why Fontanel is becoming one of Nashville's premier destinations. We offer a family and dog friendly atmosphere located just minutes from downtown Nashville in Whites Creek.

Me and 10 of my sorority sisters went to Nash for a girls weekend. I loved the music in the city, but my second fave thing was this tour. I loved the architecture and being able to really go in and touch the home and furnishings. Our guide, Janelle was so cute, professional and talented. She sang her own song... More

Attended a wedding here, everything was fine, but seemed to be a little over the top, felt like I was in Gatlinburg versus Nashville- I hope that is not the direction new growth is taking in Nashville. As I said it was all fine-a little gaudy and over-priced.

This place is huge and quite well done. A lot of history and personal mementos. The guide (Steve) was very entertaining other than he often forced his religious opinions on us quite often. You can take the guitars off of the wall and actually play them.

The guides are spectacular!!! They are very informed and the mansion is just spectacular. Well worth the time - just wish we would have gotten there earlier so we could have done the wine tasting and distillery tasting, etc.

Went out to Fontanel and learned a lot about Barbara Mandrel and her family. Great story, and even better that her daughter is involved in the home now under the new owners. It is very "80's/90's" but it just as it would have been when they lived there. It's nice to see that it's used for so many community activities... More

Maybe it's just just me, but I had a hard time with this destination. So much money went into this house. Yes, I know it's the beautiful ex-home of Barbara Mandrell. And yes, it's quite a house. But a 27,000 sq ft "mansion" (using the Fontanel's own words)? Is there really a need for a 2000 sq ft family room,... More

Wonderful side trip from Nashville. Beautiful log mansion in a woodsy setting. Wait until you see master bath. Make reservations.

We were in the area for a meeting and took the day to travel around to see the sights. This was very interesting due to the build/architecture and the history with a country music icon. Tour guide was nice and helpful, but a little awkward when he had to sing to us in the almost last area we visited -... More

Fontanel Mansion used to be Barbara Mandrell's 27,000 sq. ft log cabin. It is now owned by the man who used to manage the band Alabama, so they give tours and rent it out for weddings. It is an impressive house to see, and they told us it is currently the 5th largest log cabin in the world. It has... More
