Nashville is a beautiful city. We were there during the day, so we didn't see any night life. But it was still fun to see.

Not the charming buildings and atmosphere of southern towns like Charleston and others. It is more than made up for with the music. If you like lots of people, good food, good live music in a safe environment then this is the place for you....More

My family and I went to downtown Nashville twice while we were visiting from Florida . We absolutely enjoyed walking around town seeing all the bars/restaurants as well as the Ryman, and other great sites.

We loved walking around and listening to the music in the bars. Early in the day, they aren't as loud and crowded.

Loved the feel and the shops and the restaurants along the main strip where the honky tonks are and all the boot barns etc. We also took a bus tour of Nashville and learned that there's really tons to see. Very quiet in the winter...More

Nashville appears to be growing in leaps and bounds. The nightlife onBroadway reminds you of Bourbon street in New Orleans. It was really happening on New Year's Eve. However, the rest of it lacks the charm that other southern cities enjoy. Modern to drab architecture...More

Walk down Broadway - do the honkey tonk thing. It was a bit uncomfortable for me to walk into these venues at first - but everyone is open and friendly and happy to have you there. Grab a beer and listen. Tip the bartenders, waitstaff...More

New Orleans is great tourist fun. Go over to Mississippi, stop in Biloxi at the Lighthouse. Go to Wentzell's in Mobile, Al for Oysters (Bienville and Grilled or a Seafood Omelete). Make the drive from Mobile to Nashville... More

I was just in Nashville last week. We stayed at the Clarion Hotel which is just over the bridge from downtown. It was reasonably priced, clean, comfortable and I felt safe there. The Clarion runs a shuttle to downtown every... More
