Iconic record store in the thick of the party

Dropped by with the wife on a Labor Day outing to Nashville. Really cool old record shop with lots of photos and autographs from famous country singers. The owner/clerk gave us a... read more

Perhaps I'm spoiled by the deals I've had on Record Store Day and other places, but after hearing about Tubb's I was not impressed with them. Yes, they have a large selection of CD's and vinyl as well as some cool photos and original clothes worn by artists, but when then best price of a "special collection" of used vinyl... More

This was such a cool place-lots of pictures and memorabilia. We wanted to buy some newly released CD's and what better place than right on Broadway. Definitely some good memories made.

Dropped by with the wife on a Labor Day outing to Nashville. Really cool old record shop with lots of photos and autographs from famous country singers. The owner/clerk gave us a fascinating history of the store. Loretta Lynn played there 19 times before ever making the Opry stage, for instance. Stop in and check it out, especially if you... More

This is a very cool historical place!! Absolutely loved visiting a place where so many country music stars played!! Great staff. Knew a lot of history. The only thing that scares me is they sell CD's. I hope Nashville does not lose this treasure to the times!!

A must see in music city, some great old memorabilia, nice selection of CD's, dvds, and vinyl. But just stand there a minute about midway in the store look to the stage in the back and close your eyes a minute, you can feel Hank, Merle, Dolly walking past you, listen you can hear Patsy, Johnny and the legends, there... Loved looking at the old albums and many pictures of country music icons. Pleasant staff to chat with and interestingly she started in 1971 when we last visited so probably waited on us then

Apparently, this shop has been around for a very long time. It was fun to look at the old posters, etc. You can actually buy some of it if you are so inclined. In terms of the music, they have a lot of CD's, didn't have as much vinyl as I would expect.

We only stopped in quickly, and had been in the heat too long to really want to look through the music collections or read the autographed pictures. those that we did read were quite revealing - many of the stars past and present have played on the small stage at the back, and the night-time events still carry on to... Everyone played here at onetime or another. It's still basically a record store with a small stage In one corner but the history here runs deep. Knowledgeable staff are conversant and friendly. Probably my favorite place I visited while in Nashville.

I had a short time to visit music row and stopped here on a quiet Saturday morning. The walls are lined with autographed photos, show signs and other memorabilia. In the back, there is a display of clothing worn by some of the artists, including Mr. Tubb. Yes, they also sell CDs, DVDs and books. A great diversion from the... More
