The Hermitage is well worth the time required for your visit. I recommend you spend at least 3 hours if you plan to walk the grounds after touring the home. You can even picnic there if you want. So much history and very well done.

A great refresher on American History. It's amazing what Andrew Jackson was able to do in his lifetime. It's all on display here in easy to understand exhibits and a visit to the home when Andrew lived before and after being president of the USA.

We found this to be very interesting - but, we were history majors in college. However, relatives with us found it just as intriguing and gives an appreciation for how an orphan can rise to become a president, albeit controversial.

Very enjoyable. Different guides dressed in historical attire greet you with information and stories that keeps your attention well. They have kept this area very well and I truly learned new history facts. And just an extra. They have a very nice gift shop.

They sell beverages at several locations so no need to pack your own. The length of the walk is up to you. For just the house and gardens probably less than 1 1/4 miles. Is tour all of the hounds maybe 3 miles?
