Very Nice Park

It was a little rainy but the park was very nice and enjoyable. We walked around the Parthenon and the small ponds.

The big feature of Centennial Park is the full size replica Parthenon complete with re-created 42 foot high Goddess statue in gold. Just the 6.5x24 foot ornate bronze double doors weigh 7 tons each. I don't think anything else like it has been built since 600 BCE. A modest $6 is charged to enter with discounts for senior and children.... More

Nashville's Centennial Park is such a beautiful place to stroll around. The sea of green grass is so pristine and the nature around the river truly displays Nashville's glamour. The center of the park, The Parthenon, is a marvel of human engineering and art revival. You have to come see it for yourself to know what I'm talking about.

So much thought has gone into this park. The bell towers, sidewalk of counties, war memorials, view of the Capitol, and walkway by decades winding up at the splash park is fantastic. Needed more time to take it all in.

This park was fabulous! The parthenon is an exact replica and really amazing! The lake with the gardens all over makes for a nice way to kill a few hours in Nashville and enjoy some scenery.

It's a beautiful park with all kinds of open grounds for picnics, games, or just relaxing. There are bench swings, a beautiful lake, and the incredible Parthenon. It's great to just admire from the outside but I highly recommend going inside and exploring the museum.

Even on a hot day like today, it is fun to walk past the "lake" and the now-old building. Going inside for the cool and cool art, is also imperative. Don't miss Athena, as Alan LeQuire got his start sculpting here and now she's had a paint job. There are frequent fetes in this park but even if you just... More
