Fantastic camping area for families. Facilities clean and good. Excellent walks and river that lead to a waterfall. Only downside is lack of shade on many sites.

Murrindindi Scenic Reserve sits about 20 minutes from Yea and 45 minutes from the Yarra Valley, so it is easily accessible. However, part of its beauty is that hordes of tourists don't go there. It is a quiet camping area along a lovely, bubbling stream....More

I've been coming here for a long time, nearly 30 years and the facilities improve slightlly which means the amount of people coming increases. You'll find the place packed with kids on popular holiday periods. The toilets here are kept clean and well stocked with...More

It doesn't matter which route you approach this beautiful scenic area. On this occasion, my wife, 3yo daughter and 14 month old son packed ourselves into our trusty outback and made the comfortable drive from Mernda which took approximately 1 hour. Upon reaching Kinglake, much...More

This is a great place to spend the day. There are two waterfalls in the area, a suspension bridge and several well appointed picnic and camping areas along the Murrindindi River. The walk to the Murrindindi Cascades is quite easy. After you park the car...More

Was there early May. Every time I visit this place it gets better and better. More camp sites, clear signage and just about each site has a fire pit and heavy duty swivel grill/hotplate. At the visitors section there is a good supply of firewood....More
