Stumbled on this place on the way to a winery for lunch. We were the only ones there. The gardens and maze are so well kept. Thoroughly enjoyed the maze experience it reminded me of being a kid in the UK. So green and beautiful. The lavender smelt amazing. Even though it was wet and muddy it is well worth the experience.

We enjoyed finding our way through the mazes. The garden would be beautiful in the spring. Being the first week of winter and a Thursday we didn’t visit the cafe as it was closed.
The maintenance of this garden, paths etc was a little disappointing, definitely rustic rather than manicured.
Worth a visit

This place we found in passing. Glad we stopped in. The kids had a fantastic day running through all the mazes. And also looking for all the knomes and fairies in a scavenger hunt through the park. Even the rain couldn't keep us away

Visited the Ashcombe Maze iwhich we enjoyed. A more tradional maze and lovely gardens. Our older children still enjoy the mazes and it was lovely looking around the gardens. Favourite garden was the rock garden with the water features.
Certainly value for money and a great way to spend a couple of hours

We really enjoyed our trip to the Ashcombe Maze; grandparents, parents & a toddler. The weather was glorious and I don't think there was a thing that we missed doing. The toddler in question had a great time running around and even the rest of the party were kept amused by the mazes. Not cheap at A$74 for us all, but we felt that we got value.

We ventured in the cafe for tea, cake and ice-cream on the way out. The Lavender ice-cream was unusual, but received two thumbs up. The apple pie and ice-cream was excellent and a huge portion.

We decided to grab a bite to eat before entering the gardens. The cafe was quiet and our orders arrived quickly-mine was a pumpkin, feta and leek quiche. However, cut open and found ham! Also no pumpkin, no feta and no leek...... looked like a quiche Lorraine to me!!! I went to have a chat with the waitress who went to have a chat with the chef-returned with a quiche on a plate covered in cling film ...‘this is how they’re delivered, we don’t know what’s in them’. I’m not fussy and I like quiche Lorraine, just not what I ordered but tasted OK - thought an apology or an alternative option would have been nice! Finished up after my wife found a hair in her salad (didn’t mention this after the lack of resolution to the previous discussion). Can’t comment on the gardens as decided to move on... Vegans and Vegetarians beware!! Gave a 2 star as the fries were very nice .........

We used an Entertainment Voucher as a two-for-one entry here, so it was not as expensive for us. The two main mazes are the large green maze and the rose maze. Both of these were a lot of fun and not as easy as you think they are going to be. A lot of work has been put into maintaining them. The little dedication memorial to their horse is really lovely. The lake and fairy gardens are not maintained and are not quite how they are described. The drought probably has a lot to do with this. The cafe is clean and quite good. I enjoyed our time here for the two main mazes.

Grandparents, parents and busy 5 year old. We all enjoyed the mazes although it wasn’t as easy as we thought and there quite a few dead ends! The gnomes were a bit harder to find but it was all good fun. Look out for the chimes in the garden and the photo opportunities.

This is a great place to take the kids. The Gnome & fairy hunt keeps the kids amused for hours. The cafe has a great range of food, whether its just for a snack or for a meal.

If you love your gardens, this is a must go to. The gardens are amazing.

The only suggestion I would have is to the a seat for the parents to sit on while the kids play on the play equipment.

We had a gorgeous walk around the gardens today. Every turn had something new to discover. My in laws and four year old loved it. She loved searching for the gnomes although two were missing. Lovely lunch at the cafe. Burger was tall and yum! Iced coffee needed more coffee!
The lavender shortbread is a must try. Close to nice wineries too. Great if you have god small ideas app. One free entry for adults.
