For something decidedly different and entirely enjoyable, Queenscliff's legendary Blues Train is one of Victoria's most spectacular entertainment and dining experiences. The Blues Train departs Queenscliff between the months of August and May, offering a unique musical meal and show. With a capacity of 200 (50 in each of the four carriages) it has become enormously popular as a function venue and can accommodate and provide catering for parties of one to 200 people for a unique dinner and show - including weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, christmas celebrations and special occasions. The Blues Train event begins at the historic town of Queenscliff. Patrons tuck into a hearty meal prepared by our Blues Train caterers. Drinks to take on the journey are available on the platform from the T-bar in the guard's van, open at each of the four stops. At each stop revellers swap carriages to find a new band tuning-up ready for the next act. One of the carriages only has seating running along each wall. The seating arrangement and up-beat music in this carriage leaves little option other than getting up for a bit of a boogie. But you don't have to dig the blues to enjoy the Blues Train, you just have to be open to a really good time. The Blues Train runs along the old Geelong train line, stopping in turn at Suma Park historic homestead and winery, and then at Drysdale before turning around and making its way back to Queenscliff, again via Suma Park. The Blues Train has hosted many great musicians since its inception, including Aussie blues legends Jimi Hocking, Chris Wilson and Lloyd Spiegel and Aria Award winners Collard Greens and Gravy and Mia Dyson.

Before you buy a gift voucher for the Blues train be aware that you will pay $130.00 for $109.50 worth of value. There are no $130.00 or even closely priced tickets available. What happens to the difference, $21.50 who gets that? Not only do you spend the money it sits with someone until you redeem the voucher........

This is a great night out & definitely worth the visit, if you have a great group of people it's even better. The entertainment is great & you are certainly up dancing by the end of the night. The meal was good - although a little light on & needs to be more substantial - dessert wouldn't go astray either.... More

Wife's Christmas function and I was really looking forward to it as I'm a Blues fan. I was certainly not disappointed. From the time we were greeted and the efficiency of the service to the meal (plain but substantial) and the music, well that was the the highlight. Train trip would have been some 4 hours plus and I reckon... More

What an awesome time on the blues train, from the moment we arrived and were greeted by Hugo T Armstrong, and Chris- it was an awesome night out. Great food, and great musicians all night, we danced where we could and met some wonderful people on the way. Everyone seemed to have been having as equally good time. Thanks Hugo... More

We had a fun night on the Blues Train with 4 artists/groups performing a variety of blues based music. The spit roast to start the night was nothing special but tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. The format of starting in a carraige and swapping at each stop to cover all four carraiges is a bit of fun... More

Enjoyed The Blues Train on Saturday night with friends. Very well organised, food not fantastic but okay. All four entertainers provided a variety of music and song, the night has to put a smile on your face and if you love something different, go and enjoy the Blues Train.
