Our kids enjoyed enormously travelling on the train with Mrs Santa Clause, changing carriages at Lakers Siding, meeting Santa Clause himself back at the station, having their face painted, some refreshments and a family photo taken. A good time was had by all

Leave home early - the train leaves on time! Got stuck in 40km traffic on the Westgate Bridge and found ourselves behind schedule. Called the very helpful Henri on (03) 5258 2069 and they held the train for 10 minutes while we parked hastily on...More

This was a fabulous day out. We popped our bikes on the train, and took a gentle ride up to Drysdale. There is a great rail trail back to Queenscliff, a really nice ride. Wonderful for train buffs, and fabulous for those who like to...More

The smell of coal smoke and steam together with the puffing tank engine took us more years into the past than we care to remember. A wonderful way to spend a few hours trundling from Queenscliff to Drysdale in the the lovely old carriages. Very...More

This is a great journey back in time and to another place. Nothing about this railway is native to Victoria. The steam locomotive used, Pozieres, was built for use behind the allied lines in the First World War, the rail gauge is 3'6" (Tasmania, Queensland...More

Our family of six rode our bikes from Queenscliff to Drysdale. For the return trip we caught the train. The bikes were carried in the luggage wagon; there are no bike racks, you just prop them up as best you can. The train travels at...More

The train runs on Sundays, most public holidays and on other days during school holidays. I suggest that you phone (03) 5258 2069 near to the time.
For example we sit on the right side of the train, shall we need to change to left side when the train doing return trip so that we can experince the scenery for both side? Kindly advice, Thanks.
