A lovely day with my granddaughter

My son and daughter and his wife and I went for a picnic and fishing today. Unfortunately we didn't catch any fish but still had a lovely day.

This is the best Lake Park I have visited. Landscape,Lake,Kids Play area, walking tracks, pier everything is really really nice and beautiful here. Little beach is the standout feature of this beautiful place. Kids can have a full day fun time here playing in the beach n play area. Great for family picnics.

If you want somewhere to just stroll and wander around, check out the Lilydale Lake. It's about 2k's I think all the way around but it's an easy walk. The playground area will be great and there's a small beach area as well. On weekends there's usually an ice cream van for a little treat as well. Take a picnic... More

Used to come here regularly until they took down the playground. At the moment, it's upgrading to a new playground with a water feature. Not sure why they had to do this, as the old playground is great for kids, offering many different activities, and all still pretty new. Nevertheless, the lake still offers plenty for walks, jogs, biking, dog-walking,... More

We regularly jog at the lake. Family often visit for the playground. This is such a popular location for picnics, bbqs, running, dog-walking, boot camp, remote controlled yacht club, fly fishing club. There's always a coffee van, ice cream van and baked spud vendor too!

Lilydale Lake is a very popular place for locals to walk. Nice pathways surround the lake. It is more popular on the weekend for picnics etc as it has a great playground and is frequented by families. Trying to get a car park can be frustrating at busy times but it is a very pleasant place to visit.

We walked here on a Sunday morning. It seems popular with locals but still not too busy. There are quite a few paths but this day we just followed the edge of the lake. It was very pleasant and we saw many birds. We plan to return with our bikes to explore more of the park.
