This is a general store, not really a supermarket, and its tucked away in a remote location. So yes prices are higher than in coles - of course they are. But no worse than at 7-eleven. Bring most of your groceries with you and fill any gaps from this shop rather than waste an hour away from this beautiful place, driving to Stawell and back.I am sure some of the people that complain about having to pay a few bucks more in the general store are the same ones who happily pay $50 a head to eat out....where's the perspective?

Staff friendly and helpful. Great shopping for a store anywhere, and a pleasant surprise for a store in a national park, which usually stock basic needs only. We are caravanners so we stock up on fruit, veg and groceries when we stop for a few days, like here at the Grampians. Prices comparable to metro Sydney even though we only have to walk across the road from our van to shop. Dairy, fruit and veg truly fresh. Excellent range covering all food groups. And grog as well! Thanks to the business for providing for tourists’ needs so well.

Clearly overpriced as compared to Woolies at Stawell!!!!
Stock up at Stawell please folks.
Customer Service:Bull crap!!!!
Dumb, rude and no sense of customer service!!!!
Only store in the Gap, hence charge double than usual.
Only thing positive is it is handy for campers to get a last minute thing.
GK
Bottom line: Don’t buy , stock up at Stawell.
Reserve this place for last minute buys only.

Really arrogant workers. Just because we're tourist they laugh over everything we buy. Then one guy says he's got internet on his phone and I didn't as the reception is bad. I had to take My things back because I couldn't use ATM as wifi problem. Well okay they could have smiled. We ended getting delivery from Stawell Woolworths. I recommend do that and it's cheaper.

Popped in a couple of times for family holiday supplies.
Milk, fruit, yoghurt, corn chips and cheese etc.. & local wine.
Good range with fair small town prices. Friendly staff.

We were able to find everything you would expect from a large supermarket. In saying that I noticed that there were selected days for meat arrivals otherwise the fridge was a little empty. Prices were higher but everything was there and available.

We have been to Halls Gap many times and always make a point of bringing our supplies with us as the supermarket charges ridiculous prices. This trip has proved to be no different. We bought a small container of a dip we fancied expecting it to be about $3. It was a whopping $7.50.

A wide selection of food and drink and helpful post office counter too. Really handy store opposite the car park in the centre of town.

With our latest visit to halls gap, we were happy to hear this shop had been taken over by new management, happy to see more appropriate pricing for general groceries. We come to halls gap often and would shop here again in the future.

This is the most overpriced shop I've seen anywhere I've travelled in the world! And uses it's monopoly in the 20k radious to dictate extortionate rates for absolutely everything. Frozen pizza cost just about the same as in restaurant few meters down the road and small 200ml bottle of shampoo cost staggering AU$ 9.68! Just about everything is roughly 50% up in price compare to normal supermarket like woolworth or coles. I do understand that it's small town but it's not in the middle of nowhere. Just make yourself a favour and buy everything you need before you come to Halls Gap, you will save a fortune.
