Stopped in here for a quick hike. We were here in August and the waterfalls were bone dry so we decided to give it another shot, so glad we did. The waterfalls were booming!!! The scenery is amazing, and it wasn't crowded. Plenty of parking...More

I have been to Savage Gulf, Foster Falls and Fiery Gizzard on multiple occasions. But finally got off the ledge in Savage Gulf and took the plunge into the gulf and back out Stone Door. I had the pleasure to have two cars after meeting...More

We have hiked this trail 3 or 4 times now. Love it. Start by hiking down some narrow rocks - requires concentration and some experience. But when you get to the bottom, the waterfall is magnificent. (If you want to just see the waterfall, you...More

We enjoyed meeting the ranger at the welcome center on highway 41. He gave us a great tour on the 3-d map of the entire park and then recommended a 2 mile hike based on our request to see waterfalls. Although it is extremely dry,...More

My sons and I took our second trip to the park this weekend and still love Greeter Falls. It's an easy to moderate trail that descends down to a beautiful gorge and waterfall (unless it's bone dry like Oct can be). The trail is great...More

We hiked the Grundy Day Loop, which is about a two mile loop that goes past several waterfalls and follows the Big Fiery Gizzard Creek for about a mile before looping back. Mildly strenuous due to changes in elevation. All water crossings spanned so no...More

Gorgeous natural wonders! We visited Fiery Gizzard, Natural Bridge & Stone Door. Breathtaking views and waterfalls. The visitor center was super helpful (highway 41 near Tracy City). So much to see and hike...did not even scratch the surface.

I intend to do a backpacking trip here as it has been an area on my list for years. Wondering how that would go with weather for the area in Mid-March? I am from Wisconsin so cold isn't an issue, I am worried about snow or rain that month causing problems. I have gear for it, but the people tagging along have only done a few trips and nothing in snow.
