Interesting historical buildings from quarantine days. Converted cottages with large communal areas and tea and coffee stations. You can't drive in but rather take a shuttle from the gate. Nice place by the water for a sundowner or dinner. haven't tried the restaurant so can't...More

Q Station is an experience not to be missed. You can visit for the day, but a stay is more beneficial. The historic atmosphere and rooms are just wonderful.

We stopped here as part of a harbour ferry tour since it reminded us of similar facilities at home. The sites and displays were quite compelling and show a little understood part of Australian history. I enjoyed the walk around the buildings. Unfortunately, there were...More

A hidden gem in Sydney. It so close to the city yet so few people seem to have heard of it. It is a definite must do.

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

Ferries leave from Circular Quay in Sydney to the Manly Pier, you can walk to the Quarantine station from the Manly Wharf but it is a fairly steep 40 minute walk.
