Learn about the history of immigrants in Australia, and the beginning of the quarantine laws. Great walk, wonderful restaurant and cafe - worth a look if you've time to get up the hill.

We did the standard evening ghost tour with some friends; a mixture of believers and sceptics. Even the sceptics acknowledged that the history you learn on the tour (and in the museum) imbues the place with a certain gravitas that belies the natural beauty of...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

Ferries leave from Circular Quay in Sydney to the Manly Pier, you can walk to the Quarantine station from the Manly Wharf but it is a fairly steep 40 minute walk.
