We enjoyed an interesting day trip to Manly, which included a walk to and around North Head Sanctuary. There are lots of things to see and it is wonderful to have such a tract of land in the middle of Australia's most hectic city. The...More

A top vantage point for onshore whale watching. Plenty of rangers and volunteers on hand to point out the park wildlife. They are preserving the local penguin population, the bandicoots and are fighting ( sucessfully ) the feral fox problem. Well done NPWS.

What a gem!! Beautiful scenery, easy walking trails, well maintained and groomed grounds. Bustling with history dating back to the 1800s yet within sight of the CBD.

We loved the views and that the walk wasn't too long or difficult for our young children, but when we got to the "lookouts" they were all fenced off and under repair, which was disappointing after we'd paid full price for parking fees. It was...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

Hi Chanelle No the walk at North Head Sanctuary is free. Make sure you call into the visitor centre at Manly to collect a map and at the visitor centre at North Fort to learn about the history of the site. Enjoy your visit!
