Grab a blanket, some nibbles, and a bottle of wine and watch the sun go down from Fairfax lookout. The view of the city is incredible and it is sure to make for a magical evening :) If you are looking to do something a bit active I highly recommend the North Head hiking trail as well. Great bush walking... More

I have been wanting to go to North Head Fairfax Lookout for quite a while. Finally got there while staying in Manly for a week. Walked from wharf via Shelly Beach. Very varied walk including an informative and imaginatve Memorial walk (path). Wild life and stunning views.

To a large degree I was disappointed (not with the views) with the parking arrangements Very over priced and limited Didn't go to the Quarantine Station as not willing to pay the $$$$$$ Mornington peninsular (Port Phillip Bay) is the way to go

Call into the car park at North Head Sanctuary, where the parking is free! Located at North Fort, behind the Bella Vista cafe and right beside the North Head Visitor Centre - make sure you pop in to learn about the history of the site and learn what to do while on North Head. More

I have not been to north head for a long time and was very impressed with the changes I found there. Living in Sydney you must go and do some of the walks. Travelling to Sydney, you must see this place for the wonderful views of the harbour. Go on a good day and be amazed with the scenery and... More

This is a beautiful place to visit, near the beautiful Manly beach and with views that go on forever. Added to this, interesting history and well maintained native bushland. Spring flowers in bloom at the moment. The parking free near the cafe but expensive at the lookouts.

The view from North Head is absolutely spectacular across to South Head and the city. Make time to do the walk - it is worth it

Waw, what a place to spend a Sunday walking and exploring. The views are just exceptional, pack a picnic and spare a few hours to be with nature.

Start at the Manly beach and work your way around the coast. Through bush, cliff views and little beach coves- about 3 hours and you must be in moderate walking condition. GREAT way to get orientated to this lovely community, so close, yet so far from Sydney

The North Head Sanctuary is a lovely place to walk around and just forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful scenery and so tranquil.
