A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

Nice little beach with a good sized netted area for safety.. just stumbled across this clean little beach that also has a small cafe. Plus a short walk to a large park and kids playground.

Lovely little beach to take the kids. The bigger surf beach is a short walk from here. Great location. Lovely cafes and restaurants to enjoy dinner after your day at the beach. Highly recommend.

. It is a great spot to visit as it is very protected especially when its windy or warm at Manly Beach. The enclosed netted swimming area is great for kids. The Cafe there is a great addition to buy lunch and sit on the grass or sand. There is also some swings for the kids to play on.

Most people as soon as they get to Manly head for the shops or back beach or the Corso, leaving this place relatively quiet, it is a very nice walk.

Visited on Monday 11th November. While we waited for our ferry we checked out this beach nearby. It is the closest one to the ferry terminal if you don't want to walk the short distance to the main beach.

This is a pleasant small beach a short walking distance from the ferry. It is located inside the harbour and hence is sheltered. A great walk is thr eound trip from Manly Beach to North head and then back along the harbour side via this beach to the ferry.

Love spending time here. Either get the bus from the city taking you through lovely suburbs, or a ferry trip from the wharf. Always plenty to choose from. Ferry trip alone worthwhile. Take time out - and enjoy!!
