This Street is the jewel in Barrys' crown. It has a great assortment of independent shops. The personal service you receive is second to none, they take the trouble to get to know you and what you like. There is a good variety of shops,...More

Boutique shopping, feel good charity spend and a glass of something or if you prefer coffee and you can while away a decent couple of hours on Barry High St, check out the restaurants like the Galley on the street below and watch the sun...More

Great mix of independent shops from clothes to florists to a top shop with fantastic selection of toys for young and old. Not too many charity shops but ones there had good quality items in stock. All very friendly and helpful. Good selection of cafes...More

Mostly pedestrian, this is the big shopping street, also lined with places to eat and drink. Don't miss the arcades off the street. A little scruffy and a bit dirty, but full of life.

A well known local shopping area, very handy for most needs. Parking usually a problem but the nearby side streets can be used also.

I love the High Street. There's so much choice. It is buzzing and thriving compared to Holton Road where everything is closing down.

Very local to us and just the place for most items needed. Small shops with a good range of products, parking could be improved but most of the time it is possible.

There is really nothing excitng about Barry town centre. Better to catch a train to Cardiff, far more to see and do there. Or go to Barry Island.

Plenty of various types of shops from gift shops, clothing, butchers to hardware and everything in between. On street parking can get a bit congested in High Street but there are numerous adjacent streets which are less congested and only a short stroll from the...More
