Fascinating place and you really get a feel for what things must have been like. The only downside was that the oil lamps are very smelly but that’s what happened back then.

Really authentic, especially with the original lamps lending such realistic lighting to the rooms. There is a very informative audio guide. The majority of furniture and fittings are genuinely from the house. The shop is well stocked with a range of souvenirs.
