    Enjoyable lunch
A small group of us, on visiting the gallery decided to stay for lunch. The cafe was very busy, but after a short wait we found a table. The menu was interesting and the specials sounded good. We all chose different things and none of us were disappointed. Lunch was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful

    Needs a bit of TLC
Nothing especially wrong with the centre but it felt a bit flat. The cafe was ok but a bit ordinary. The WC’s were clean but both ladies and gents had run out of paper by lunchtime and as the toilets in the carpark were closed, it meant all arriving visitors had nowhere else to go. Good to see that there are five spaces in the carpark for campervans. St David’s is quite tight for larger vehicles.

    Good and not so good
Went to see excellent RNLI Courage and Community exhibition. Very well presented and interesting. Café food not so. Very boring filled rolls. No flare or imagination shown. Staff pleasant and helpful though.

Loved the RNLI exhibition in the information centre, and we were also lucky enough to be visiting when there were some lovely stalls selling local crafts. The gift shop is also outstanding selling quality items. We were very disappointed with the cafe, we have been here many times over the years but on this occasion it seemed very uncared for, the tables were very dirty and everything seemed very sticky - very unappealing. Will not be going into the cafe again in a hurry unfortunately. Definitely worth a visit for the exhibition.

Had a lovely afternoon visiting the ‘The Lost Words’ exhibition and then on to the ‘Ragna’ exhibition which was all for free. Really appreciate that as a family we could see both exhibitions. Great cafe on site, good food.

This place is fast becoming our go to place for a meal on st David's. Had the lamb cawl today and it was faultless. Tender lamb, perfect veg and a lovely cheese to break into it with a fresh sourdough bread. All superb. Cant recommend enough and unbearable value. Great staff.

The actual city of St David was a little disappointing. It was very busy and not many places to actually sit down and have a meal. We eventually went to the oriel y parc which is a building at the entrance to the city. We had a nice lunch and then went around the exhibition gallery of art and natural history/ archaeology. A very enjoyable hour.

The staff there didn't seem able or particularly willing to answer any of our questions about where to visit, what to do, outdoorsy things etc. They can give you bus time tables and sell you things. We found the people at Thousand Island boat trips far more helpful in giving us suggestions of places to go - e.g. they suggested we go to Porth Gain where we found the Sloop Pub and also The Shed fish & chip place. Both were excellent.

Thank you for your review. All our staff at Oriel y Parc have a wide range of knowledge on the local area and can offer advice as required. I am sorry that on this occasion our service fell below your expectations, if you could email info@orielyparc.co.uk with a little more detail, hopefully we can get to the bottom of what happened on your visit and ensure that it does not happen again.

Stopped here for a coffee and slice of cake - what a mistake.
Weak watery ‘coffee’ and a slither of what they called carrot cake and Victoria sponge!
London prices for a fraction of the quality that you would get anywhere else in the country.
Underwhelmed!

We are very sorry that your experience fell below your expectations. The Pilgrims Café is ran by a separate company, we will be sure to pass on you feedback. We hope to see you in St Davids again soon.

This visitor centre is a great place to go for local information, B and B bookings along with a good selection of books, cards and gifts sourced locally or about local people and places. Staff always very pleasant and helpful. Lovely joint exhibition by local artists Clive Gould and Graham Brace. Looking forward to returning to see Sarah Earl’s work later in the year.

Lovely small gallery with café and shop. Well worth a visit if you’re in the St David’s area. Situated within easy walking distance of St David’s alongside the main route in from Solva. Exhibitions change. The exhibition we visited was free.
