The Talyllyn Railway is a historic narrow gauge steam railway, running from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol through unspoilt Snowdonia. Tywyn is home to the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, Railway Shop and King's Licensed Cafe & Bistro. The line passes the delightful Dolgoch Falls and there are excellent forest walks at Nant Gwernol.We offer a great day out for all the family. Groups receive a discount when booked in advance.

We rode on this railway and were not disappointed. Very efficient service through beautiful countryside. We had a good meal at Talyllyn Wharf, not overpriced. Toilets at the stations were clean. We would go again.

I must apologise for the delay in the provision of my reply. Yes single fares are available and you can also start your journey from Abergynolwyn as long as the timetable provides sufficient time for a return trip.
