The courthouse is quite small but every effort has been made to ensure it is interesting. There is an excellent audio guide included in the admission charge.

The Courthouse is well worth a visit. Only £5 for a combined ticket with the Gaol, including an audio tour at the Courthouse. Engaging for adults and children. No cafe, but there are plenty of choices nearby.

The Courthouse comes with a guided voice tour but the numbers are out of order so there is a bit of back and forthing trying to find everything. I think I never did find all the numbers. It's not a big place and the voice...More

Great information included here but a lot of it was repeated in the Gaol and the Prison, both of which were larger. There were a lot of kids in here having fun pretending to be in court so if you have youngsters with a shorter...More

Fortunately we were the only visitors so we had a good look around without feeling we were getting in the way. Amazing insight of how things used to be in a courtroom. Well worth a visit.

Staying nearby, we decided we would visit the Courthouse and avail ourselves of the combined entrance ticket with the Gaol situated about 10 mins walk away. Unlike the Gaol, the Courthouse was very well laid out, aided by the informative handheld audio guide which gave...More

I visited the courthouse many years ago and although the interior has remained in its beautiful preserved condition I felt very disappointed to be given a audio guide rather than the guided tour we had at previous visits. Still well worth going and having a...More
