A great place that is not easy to find, but well worth it. Reasonable entry price, with lots to see on both floors. Really interesting to read some of the personal stories of people that had been imprisoned there, and the family that lived there. Not sure the Halloween decorations added anything to be honest.

We got there at 15:09 to be met with a locked door and a note saying that the last entry was at 15:00. Your website says that the last entry is at 16:00
Instead of writing notes on the door why not update your website to advise that your stated last entry times cannot be relied upon?

The gaol is an amazing slice of history detailing how the ages old gaol worked and is full of information of those souls who ended up here. A great place to visit and so very interesting.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the gaol which is right in the heart of Beaumaris. Steeped in history which you could feel all around. If you’re lucky enough to meet Roger he has a few tales to tell !! He looked after us and was very welcoming as was Pryd in the reception and souvenir shop.

We visited Beaumaris Jail on a miserable rainy friday in October.
The rain was pouring down, which added to the experience of what a really bad place it must have been to have to spend time there as an inmate.
The staff were very friendly and informative, you were left to roam around on your own but would occasionally be met by a guide who would tell you interesting things about the area you were in.
We purchased a joint ticket for the Jail and the Courthouse which was well worth doing.

Very interesting place. Roger was a fantastic guide and totally had me believing I would experience a ghost on my visit in the goal. I didn't but he is good at telling a yarn.
Also, they offered a range of tickets for ages and families. very good value

A well preserved jail - very interesting if not a little scary to imagine what inmates must have gone through - much larger than it looks from the outside - plenty of information and an instructive talk from knowledgeable staff - worth buying a combined ticket to include the courtroom

Five middle-aged friends visited the gaol after visiting the courthouse where we bought the discounted ticket for both attractions. We all agreed that this was much bigger than we thought it was going to be, and an absolutely fascinating place. Much the same as the courthouse, the wealth of information is impressive, and it took us quite a while to wander round looking at everything that was on show. Totally worth the price, and the time and energy. Much recommended.

Are you open during the week as planning on visiting Tuesday 22nd and what the price for 2 adults

We visited during the week, think it was £5 per adult with a reduced fee for OAPs. You are expected to wear a face covering, they are available to buy if you forget.
Are you open week commencing November 18th ? Thanks Lesley.

Sorry. I don't know the opening times but as it very close to the town centre it is worth checking as I thought it is a great attraction.

There is a large car park on the see front right next to the castle. The court and gaol are within a few minutes walk from the castle. Enjoy.
Hi, please can I have an email address to contact to discuss a large group booking? Thank you

Not sure what the question was but, if it was about the availability of paying to see the gaol or courthouse with a card, we are now able to accept all cards including contactless so the availability of a cash machine is not a problem. For info anyway, there are two in Beaumaris ; one outside Jolly’s Tea Shop and one inside the Spa shop, both on Castle Street.

Is this worth a visit with young children? My boys are aged 4 & 6 and always ask what’s inside when we walk past so I’m considering a visit but not sure it’s worth the money as they are young they won’t be interested in reading any signs just looking at things.

Yes I think they would like the answer above they would probably like the gruesome parts of it. Also the history is very interesting
