They cannot be forgotten....

Me and Hubby made a brief stop off at Talsarnau on a recent Tuesday. The A496 Maentwrog to Harlech road runs through the village. We noticed this war memorial opposite the Honda Garage. To the left of the memorial is the redundant Christ Church.

We opened the gate and walked up the path to take a closer look at the stone obelisk. It commemorates 14 local residents who were killed or missing as a result of World War 1 (1914-1918) and World War 2 (1939-1945). These brave ordinary men should never be forgotten.
