About
The Edge Motor Museum, Memphis’ only auto museum, highlights the rise and fall of the American sports car from “postwar to ‘74” in an exhibit called American Speed. Located just 600 feet west of Sun Studio, the museum is a short 2 minute walk down the street and features cars from the same era(s) that Sun highlights so well on their tours.

Great place to visit in Memphis TN
This museum is a joy and the staff even better. The collection is unique and ever changing. Things are well presented with iPads detailing pertinent information and interesting photos and old ads. We saw automobiles that we had never heard of before. The staff really enjoyed sharing their knowledge and stories about these automobiles. It is always a joy to be around people who truly seem to like what they are doing and take pride in knowing their product.

    Dynamite! Loved it.
Had an hour in the museum and loved every minute of it. The fire engine red '59 Cadillac up front was wonderful! Tail fins like a B-17 bomber! Vettes, T-birds, pony cars, muscle cars, California boulevard cruisers, loved them all. Bob the restorer was kind enough to give us a special extra tour, very nice.

Where a passion for restoration and conservation is shared and celebrated.
My partner and I have just returned from a holiday of a lifetime where we visited three states, countless well known attractions and experiences.....and THIS is what we both enjoyed the most! Firstly, you don't have to be a massive motor fan to love this museum; the exceptional standard of this collection is breath taking for any visitor. The love, attention and passion taken in bringing this museum to life is inspiring and we genuinely could've stayed there indefinitely! We were fortunate enough to meet Bob and his depth of knowledge and pride in this collection was, for us, what made our visit so special. For me personally, having just dragged my partner around Graceland, seeing Bob take the time to engage and share with him this very unique collection, made me so happy. This museum is so good that we planned to return the following day but, unfortunately, got stuck on the other side of Memphis when we couldn't get an UBER back! We still regret that now but, someday, we hope to return. Don't miss out on this unique, dazzling and fascinating museum. It may be small but it certainly packs a supercharged punch!

    Car museum with an edge.
This is a great car museum. Real nice cars in a neat layout. If your not driving it is a short walk from downtown Memphis. Also, the guys at the Edge will give a personal tour if you want. Good little gift shop and don't forget to ask about the man who ran Ralph Nader out of Memphis!

    Don’t miss this!
I’ve been to numerous car museums but none have been as well done as this one. It’s not just cars but a history lesson on what was going on in the environment, in education, economics and cultural during that time period. If you go, take the time to read all the information on the wall as you walk down the ramp to the showroom. I learned so much!

Beautifully laid out with a great guided tour by Bob Watkins
Most car museums have a lot of cars you look at and then leave.. this museum has fewer cars, but when Bob Watkins takes you around and tells you about them, you really get a good perspective on what makes each vehicle unique or interesting. He took my wife and I around the museum and was a superb host. When you visit this museum, be sure and ask for a tour from one of the guys at the front desk area, whether Bob, Richard or someone else-- this will make your experience memorable and interesting.

    Great for History & Cars
Hyper-curated museum, but all the better for it. The entry/upper level introduction tour was extremely well done by the docent and set the museum mood in the right direction. The museum is great if you love cars, but it’s possibly better characterized as a history museum that is car themed. It’s an excellent experience and highly recommended. Even more so if you are visiting Sun Studios as well.

Edge is a Must See in Memphis
We visited the Edge Museum a few days ago and were very impressed. We spent 2 hours admiring the cars and reading the history of the cars that are currently on display. If you are lucky you might meet Studebaker Bob (Watkins). Bob has a wealth of knowledge and told us many stories and interesting facts about the cars in the museum. Thank you Studebaker Bob for making our visit so memorable.

    Hidden Gem for Car Enthusiasts!
This museum is a real hidden gem in Memphis and a must if you love fast cars! Just a short walk up the road from Sun Studios so you are able to do both on one hit. The gentleman gave us a personal tour and shared his knowledge and passion for these vehicles, every car looked like they were just out of the showroom from being tenderly restored and looked after. I highly recommend a visit to this museum!

What a great find, only a block away from Sun Records Recording Studio in Memphis. The cars were so unique and amazing! Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and life experiences. He went above and beyond with his interesting stories about different cars. Each car had it's own interactive information touch screen with lots of statistics for car enthusiasts. I will definitely go back if ever in the area again!

The owner has gathered some real rare finds and loves to share the stories! If you visit, get him to tell you the story of the Crosley! It's worth the price of admission!
