Looks like a cool place but unfortunately when we arrived it was closed for the season. Looking forward to a next possibility.

Didn't see the museum but the site of the steam boat brought back memories. If we knew about it we would have surly seen it. In fact it was twice we rode 2 of those paddle wheelers. The 1st was in 1989 it was the Delta Queen on a 5 day 4 night outing from Memphis(11th state) to Saint Louis(12th... More

I am not normally a museum person. Just a bunch of old furniture and pictures on the wall. But here, the story of the Civil War comes to life.

This place has so much history and information than I could have imagined. Found out some history that I was totally unaware of - I'm not going to divulge because it would ruin the surprise. Small children probably wouldn't enjoy this.

This exhibition is well presented and its about Indian life and the paddle steamers. You cross the mississippi by monorail and it takes about an dhour and a half but there was little else to do there. We looked for a place to eat a lunch and have a coffe but only a small place selling cold drinks.

I was very excited to experience this tour and my only regret is not bringing my children. I enjoyed all the information that was shared on the tour and it help understand what was left out of the school books.

Enjoyed the riverboat trip down the Mississippi. 90 minutes of boat trip with guide that was very informative; many stories and tidbits of history about the river and Memphis.

We spent a Sunday morning on the island. The tram ride was fun and the Mississippi River museum was great. The river walk was OK, not really very engaging.

Whilst traveling over the bridges in mississippi we were taking photos not the best day of our tour in fact it was the last & it rained for the whole day, first one for 17days. We still managed to get out on the mississippi paddel boat & have a meal that was loverly. well worth going on.
