A wonderful museum. Large enough to highlight many time periods but small enough to do in a few hours. Very interesting pieces - multimedia, furniture, sculpture etc.. Minimal fee. I really liked this. Perfect size to introduce young ones to art.

While it's not Chicago or NY, the museum offers good exhibits that are worth taking time out to see. They also have a nice restaurant and some networking and social events and movies that are worth keeping track of to participate in. Plus Wednesdays you can pay what you want. Nice, it makes art available to all...but if you can,... More

Amazing works of art from multiple periods and eras. I would say this museum is a miniature version of the MET. Top off your visit with a walk in the park and/or a visit to the zoo.

I won't compare Brooks to the Art museums in Atlanta or Dallas regional wise. Yes it's small, but well appointed. On Wednesdays (check to see if ongoing) right now, it's "pay as you can". A great idea making it affordable for everyone to visit! They offer a rotating visiting exhibit and the current one, "The Art of Video Games" is... More

The museum is easy to navigate--just the right size to enjoy the different galleries. The main exhibits change often meaning there is always something new to see. The restaurant is very nice with a simple menu.

Small museum to visit, but a nice selection of works There was a cute "live" / work in progress while we were there. Would like to have seen some more local art though.

The Brooks manages to pack a lot of art into a small footprint. I like that it has exhibits from a variety of locations and historical periods - and that it only takes a couple of hours to see everything. The current interactive exhibits in the lower level were great fun. Worth a visit! BTW, they show movies in the... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety and size of their collection. While I was there, they had a temporary exhibit from the top high school students throughout Tennessee, and that was quite impressive.
