We had a walk to the Castle from the hotel we were staying in - Glengarry Castle Hotel. It was a nice walk along the lochside. The castle is an empty shell and there is (understandably) a fence preventing access into the grounds. Overall it...More

Not much to see really. No direct access to the ruins, so you can just look. As it is next to the Glengarry Castle Hotel, wander around the hotel gardens and down to Loch Oich. Then pop into the hotel for a lovely cup of...More

Although the ruins are interesting to see, I would not recommend going out of your way. However, it is off one of the main roads and it's worth a stop to look around. It's a quick stop, maybe 10 minutes. Enough to stretch your legs!

These ruins are a short walk down the road from the Glengarry Castle. (Glengarry Castle is very nice!). The walk from Glengarry to the ruins is short and pretty however the ruins are fenced off so you really can't get very close. The ruins are...More

This is definitely a ruined castle, and you cannot go inside. There is no guidebook or tours, but you can let your imagination run wild. The ghosts of the McDonald clan are definitely watching you.

It was a nice walk along the River Oich to get to the castle from Invergarry Hotel. Not much to see as it is in ruins, but worth the walk.

We walked here from the Invergarry hotel which is a nice walk on paths along the Garry River. The castle is mostly just a few remaining walls surrounded by a wire fence.

This little Tower castle is well worth a visit. It is right on the little road to the Invergarry Castle Hotel. Follow the signs and you will pass the castle. It is a ruin and is fenced off for safety. You can see the preservation...More

The ruins of Inverarry Castle were beautiful but there is not much to see as you cannot get close to it due to a fence to protect people from the ruins. Still great to see if you are staying at the Glengarry Castle Hotel.
