Wonderful white sands and all to ourselves! Easily accessible from the car park and local road, sheltered spots to sit in the dunes. Great views over to the small isles.

Beautiful walk along this beach made famous by the film Local hero, and I am sure strolled by very brave S.O.E. and other wartime personnel before there journey to the war zone of Europe in the second world war

Everything you want from a quiet friendly Campsite! We stayed here for two nights and wanted to stay longer. The Campsite is quiet and, despite being full, was in no way over crowded. The magnificent beaches are a 10 minute walk from the site and...More

Having recently watched Local Hero we decided on an 8 hour round trip to finally see "Ben's Beach". The views were spoiled by the rain, however the beach itself was nothing special. Elie is much better.

Sand dunes, white sand, clear sea, rock pools, safe bays, dog-friendly. Simply beautiful and somewhere we come back to as often as possible.

Hi, don’t know if anyone actually owns the beach but we did hear that the small car park was owned by a local lady and that she was shutting it. Wonder if she has anything to do with it?
