Visited with a group of friends mid January. The bar area was very bare and the whole room seemed to slant to one side and that was before we had anything to drink! The food was good but again the dining area was cold so we didn't feel inclined to linger after we had eaten. As there aren't many places... More

We had our Yule Banquet in the Rod and Reel as we were saying in the hostel at Crianlarich. Lesley at the pub gave us a great choice of menu and the food was brilliant and a very good price. The pub was set up lovely for us with fest tablecloths etc. The service was brilliant, our food was brought... More

Called in for a drink, very old fashioned room, no wifi, disinterested barman could hardly get his eyes off his phone to serve. Tables were all dirty.

Rod and reel, nice food and drinks. Has a pool table and a TV. Smells a but smokey but over all quite a nice place.

A good pub for drinks I did not eat there. The staff were frendly and asked if we had a good walk on the hills. No Internet had to go out the front to get a signal. Toilet was a wee bit grubby. If your going in for a quick drink this is ok.

Last time I didn't eat here and wish I had. We had the Fish and Chips, Steak pie and Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. All hot, very tasty and plenty on your plate. Just a wee country pub with no airs and graces but polite service, craic and locals giving interesting chat. Good range of whiskies and well kept beers.Tons of... More

This place was recommended by a friend at work and as we were returning home from a weekend away in the highlands we decided to pop in and glad we did. It was a half way house for us to get out stretch our legs , enjoy the view and have a wee refreshment. Typical village pub and very friendly... More

On our West Highland Way trip - We miscalculated the time to get to our room for the night and wandered down to the pub in the village for lunch. It did take a while but the soup I had was homemade and really good - as was the beef pie my son had. The pub itself is pretty bland... More

Oh Dear. We stopped here for lunch yesterday. Stupid idea. But I can say that the lentil soup was tasty if expensive. And the loo was OK. Otherwise it was all a bit "League of Gentlemen" and bizarre. Old fashioned pub atmosphere (not in a nice way). Miserable staff in grubby clothes, poor service, dirty tables. No milk came with... More

Called in to this pub twice for lunch and the food was good, a good selection of toasties, baked potatoes, baguettes etc at lunch and which looked very popular. Good portions, and prompt service - It is what it is - a local pub providing food so don't expect gourmet options or an ultra modern facility and you won't be... More
