This place is just gorgeous. Quiet and relaxing. Watching the sun making the water sparkle it looks magical.
Of you're looking for a beauty spot this is it. It's a gem of Scotland.
I can't wait to go back and explore it properly at Easter.
I just had to write a review because iv never seen such beauty anywhere else on this planet.

This is so close to Glasgow and shouldn't be missed, but please respect this magnificent area, take home your rubbish, and keep it beautiful.

I have loved this part of Scotland since my parents brought me here on holiday as a child. They loved travelling around the Trossachs and Loch Lomond, and as an adult I can appreciate why they loved it so much. There is real peace and tranquility to be found if you go even a short distance off the beaten track, and renewal of the spirit if the weather is kind and the views open up.
The area is vast with good road access and lots to explore.

We rode along the lake's coast and stopped a few times to admire its views. The hills surrounding the large lake are beautiful and breathtaking.Only the road could use some work.

While in Scotland we saw their two largest lakes. Loch Lomond is their largest by land area and it is gorgeous! Do not miss if you get the chance, even if you can't skip rocks, it is a good place to learn.

We spent a day traversing and occasionally getting out for walks and views of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. This region is part of enjoying Scotland and is highly recommended. Hotels and inns dot the area as do restaurants. Spend some time just sitting by the water; a trail near the Oak Tree Inn for example is a good and easy hike.

Easily accessible day tour by car or organized day tour from Edinburgh.

This National Park is stunning but absolutely ruined by criminally inefficient policing by the park Authorities.
There are rules and bylaws but they are not being enforced.

Wild camping proliferates despite being banned. Hygiene standards are abysmal with excrement being left by people who, though able to arrive with huge loads of equipment, seem unable to take their trash back with them when they leave. Fires and BBQs are frequently left still smouldering.

The beautiful Loch has seen a huge increase in people hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding and wild swimming, all at peace with the environment. Unfortunately lives are being put at risk by jet skiers and speedboat owners who refuse to keep to the speed limit near to shore and in the large area around Luss to Balmaha where the speed limit is 11km per hour. I have seen children just metres from shore being buffeted by half metre wakes.

During the recent warm weather Luss has become a gathering place for jet skiers who circle moving boats attempting to jump their wakes amidst paddle boarders, many clearly beginners many without life jackets and wet suits and canoeists who are clearly novices. Young children line up to jump off the pier and boats are unable to tie up temporarily at the pier due to large gin palaces permanently tied up belting out music whilst their occupants lie sunbathing. The large tour boats treat the Loch with respect but some of the fast rib tours seem to do nothing but charge about creating wakes and noise pollution.
From 6:30 in the morning to 10:30 at night especially at weekends the noise of jet skis and speedboats dominate the beautiful Loch instead of birdsong. Small boats are rocked mercilessly on an otherwise calm Loch with nobody from the park authority to be seen. We are asked to call the office to report issues but the phone goes to answering service and the call is not returned as requested.
2021 has seen a dramatic decrease in the wildlife we have seen around the Loch.
The park authority are to blame for allowing such a beautiful asset to the people of Scotland to be spoiled by the actions of the few.

Underwhelming parking and track led to the most breath taking view. Stunning place in sunny weather. Then the rain came and we got rainbows. So beautiful. Little stroll around the lakeside to take some further views in. Gorgeous spots all around. Really enjoyed our visit.
