Overview
More
Conceived in 2014 by Aidan Canavan, a biologist by training, Bute Brew Co. is situated in the centre of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. Our Brewery is open for visitors so you can come in and see how we make the beers, sample the beers in our bar and beer garden. You can also buy bottles to take home or as a fantastic gift for someone if your feeling generous! Our beer is available on draft or bottle in most of the pubs and restaurants around the island. We are also finding the demand is increasing and our beer is popping up in lots of pubs and off-licences around the country.

Found this great craft brew house with help from locals. It’s the real deal, a work in progress as I had a peak into the most recent effort, a brew recycling the local bakery bread. Enjoyed a sampler featuring 5 yummy beers, all with character....More

Looking for things to do in Rothesay, we were very excited to discover a brewery. We booked a tour at the first opportunity. The tour was a very personal and informative experience; giving a much closer insight into how each different beer is brewed than...More

Nathan, a newbie staff member, did a great job of showing us around and giving us samples to try. Needless to say we bought some of the colourfully named wares (Cock In Your Beaver being one of the beers they make/sell), and very tasty they...More

We arranged to meet up as a fairly large group to celebrate my friends birthday. We booked in advance & they even put up a few banners for us & hid the cake. We sat in beer garden what a sun trap! Being very busy...More

The pizza and beer are worth the trip to Bute... if you are on the island, you'd be daft to miss out.

We’ve stopped by for lunch and stayed for the tour, the beer and admittedly the beautiful weather. The tour is short and comes with a flight of beer, worth the 7gbp a person. Pizza and dukkah were well made. Absolutely recommend to stop by.

We had been recommended this place by our hosts who said the pizzas were great -and they weren't wrong. Despite the fact that neither of us drink alcohol, we were made very welcome by the very friendly staff. I had a San Pellegrino and my...More

Checked this out after reading good reviews. Hubby said the beer was wonderful and I found my new favorite wine thanks to one of the staff’s recommendation. They only serve food on Friday afternoon (pizza starts at 3pm) and weekends. Menu is limited but really...More
