I've been here twice, the first on bike from the ferry to ettrick bay and the second on a hike from the ferry to mount stuart, there are plenty of sheep and horses and the scenery is beautiful. It could be improved with better signage.

Did the southern part of this way. Very interesting and varied walk with smashing views and St Blane's to visit on the way. A kind couple found some money I had dropped and handed it over when they caught up with us. Very grateful.

We like walking on vacations, and did sections of this on two different days. Its well marked, and there are good guides online. My mapping app, GaiaGPS, and the Open Hiking Maps had the trails clearly marked.
