OK so stayed just the 1 night in a road trip, room was small but big enough with en suite. Bed weren't the most comfortable but doable. Bar staff were great, really friendly and sociable, food was great and reasonably priced. The only thing that really let's the place down is the Landlord, who was a bit of a ....misery guts shall we say, who undid all the good work his staff did during the night. Just wanted to push us out the bar even tho we were residents and finishing up as quickly as we could.
Breakfast was good. Overall value for money it's overpriced as it needs a bit of updating but it is where it is and I get the impression that the landlord is trying take the biggest profit for its limited season.

Miserable shabby hotel with miserable staff and awful food an expensive rip off.
Charged £20 extra for a room with a sea view to find it was a view of a JCB digger and a pile of earth.room very dated far from spotless, dinner was a disaster one meal of lamb shank totally inedible, lamb shank on lumpy mash watery red cabbage totally smothered in a thick congealed brown substance they called gravy when I complained was told if I the food wasn’t to my taste tough luck, steak poorly cooked and tough breakfast all I can say as a positive is that the eggs were good staff attitude was appalling and food quality poor. Reception person at checkout appeared to be filthy and stank of stale cigarettes just what you need first thing in the morning
Do yourself a favour and DONT go near the place

Despite what their signs say this pub does not do food (bar meals or restaurant), at least not for non-residents.

We didn't book a reservation but were very happy in the pub....same menu. Excellent sea food and popular with the locals. Very good service. Reasonable.

Lovely food, beautiful location, beds were comfortable. Great to place to stop on North Coast 500, and opposite Inverewe, on Loch Poolewe!

The rooms were very bad smells and We have lost the price 300£ cause we didn’t want to sleep here cause we reserved 2 rooms IN THE HOTEL NOT IN A GARAGE and we had to find another hotel. We stayed near by this pub/hotel and was recommended to eat here. So we popped along and booked a table which we were advised to do.
Great customer service. Order was taken on hand held computer. Food was great. Lovely airy eating area with maps on wall which were very interesting. Plenty of parking space and also lovely walk to beach side after you’ve eaten.
Highly recommended

Visited the Poolewe hotel for a wedding, we couldn't book a room but Gary the manager allowed us to park our camper in the carpark. We had a fabulous evenenig meal and a few drinks with various other friends attending the wedding, a most pleasant evening indeed. We were then allowed to breakfast with guests on Saturday and had a very very good breakfast (a wide selection indeed) highly recommended. We were then allowed to use my sons room for pre wedding preparation, all without any fuss and nothing was to much trouble for Gary or his staff. I can't recommend The Poolewe Hotel or their staff highly enough. If you are looking for a friendly, efficient caring small hotel break in the area I wouldn't hesitate to book here (if you can) simply superb.

This was a return visit after 2 years and we were given a warm welcome. We had steaks and fish which was cooked to perfection, too much for us to finish. The service was friendly and efficient.

We visited the Poolewe hotel in a large group of friends for dinner on a Thursday night. The service was excellent and everyone commented on how they had enjoyed their good hearty meals. I had the lamb shank with mash and red cabbage which was a generous serve that hit the spot. My husband had the beef pie with veggies which he said was delicious. A good night out with good selection of wines to compliment a nice meal.
