    Make sure to visit!
Definitely worth a visit. For quite a small museum, we spent a good amount of time here. The lady working was really knowledgeable and great with our 5 year old. Bring cash, as there is a small fee to enter, but well worth it.

    Fantastic museum.
Such a lovely little museum. The lady working there was so kind and patient with my kids who were very excited to see dinosaur fossils. It was probably the most memorable experience of our recent holiday in Scotland. Well worth a visit.

    Great Dinosaur and fossil museum
This is a lovely little casual museum where exhibits have all been collected by the gentleman running it. He was available to talk to about his finds which my husband found a treat. My 2 teenagers loved the dinosaur exhibits. Only £10 to get in and definitely worth a stop.

Must do when on the Isle of Skye
We met Dugald Ross who is the expert in the Dinosaur Findings in the Staffin area. It was incredible. He personally founded the museum and continues to find fossils today. We visited the beach in Staffin to see the footprints. Very interesting

    Fascinating local finds
This tiny museum is packed with wonderful local finds including the dinosaur footprint and a new pterodactyl type dinosaur that was named after the local area and the finder who runs the museum. The quality of the fossils is staggering. The museum is not huge and has other local artefacts there. Worth engaging in conversation with the curator who has a wonderful, life time finding these extraordinary exhibits. We loved it. £4 each entry.

    Worth a Visit
Worth the few bucks, especially if the nearby footprints on the cliffside are still closed. (They were in May '23 when I was there. Check ahead!) The man who runs it is thoughtful and happy to tell you about the collection. There's a lot more than just dinosaur tracks, even though it's a very small museum.

Staff incredibly helpful - even as a professional palaeontologist I found their enthusiasm really positive. Some excellent specimens carefully displayed. Well worth a visit

Took my son here when we visited. My son studies at the University of Ireland and this was a highlight for him to talk to Dugald. Dugald Ross was so knowledgeable and we enjoyed listening to his story and passion for what he does. We also, bought his book and had him sign it. He even sent my son an email after we returned home. It was very kind of him. The museum maybe small, but the experience is worth it.
