Best day out

We absolutely loved this walk. It does get very busy though so we went very early in the morning. Stunning views and well worth the hike. Not an easy walk though.

This really has to be seen to be appreciated. The formations and scenery are nothing less than INCREDIBLE but unless you make the effort you'll always be cheated of the site that could behold you. You know that you should and you certainly will NOT be disappointed.

Really windy at the beginning (literally blown away) but much better once you get on - amazing, amazing landscape and a relatively easy hike, great for all and really rewarding!

Really col views and Geology. I wanted to see where they filmed the opening of Prometheus. I am sure anyone who goes here would know it can be bitter cold, wet and windy with soggy hiking.

We were so fortunate to arrive on a sunny day. Views are spectacular a photo will not do it justice. At least in May it was not very crowded.

We Americans are accustomed to calling it hiking, but whilst in Scotland it is referred to as hill walking. This lackadaisical name makes one believe that these hikes are just "walks in the park." However, that is not the case. There are not always clear paths. There are no signs. One must know where they are going at all times.... More

This is an amazing hike with both amazing rock formations close up and distant views of the mainland mountains across the water. We were there on a beautiful sunny day. I was initially hesitant to take the hike due to descriptions that suggested I would have to walk on high ledges that might awaken my fears of heights, but I... More

This walk to the needle and prison rock formations isn't for people who dislike heights as the path is narrow but the views over Skye and the start of the trotternish ridge are fantastic. Go early to get parked however as it's a popular spot.
