Had good time visiting the Tobermory distillery. Having visited another distillery recently we knew what happens in the distilling process. But it was very interesting to see the slight differences which make for a different flavour whiskey. Lovely tour thanks

Having visited a number of distilleries in Scotland we are quite hard to please and the Tobermory distillery is smaller than most. In addition it is currently being refurbished and will not be in production for the next few years. Despite that we signed up...More

The tour round the distillery was both interesting and informative. The distillery was on downtie so we saw more then we would have if it had been in production. The drams at the end were most welcome

Very good. The Lithuanian guide was clear and well informed. We enjoyed a wee free dram or 2 and would recommend both of their whiskies to anyone with a discerning nose and palate.

We were pleasantly surprised by how well we were received, as soon as we opened the door. Staff gave wonderful descriptions of the two types of their whiskies made on site. Tastings were a plus!

Had a fun tour here and learned a bit about the process of making whisky. Staff are friendly and informative, and the whisky is just grand. Try a wee dram! I recommend the Ledaig, with just the perfect amount of peatiness!

We had a great tour here on a rainy morning. Loved our guide -- knowledgable and personable. Would definitely recommend that you taste both kinds. The smokey peated whisky is definitely more interesting. This tour with two samples cost less than half of what we...More

Well worth a visit even for the non- whisky lovers. The distillery wasn't in action during our visit but this didn't hinder the tour at all. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, offering lots of information on the whisky making process and the history...More

You can take your car on the ferry and i think a return is about £26 + individual passenger prices. You can get a bus from the ferry to Tobermory which is about £20 return.

Basically this trip is not suitable for wheelchairs - it is a working distillery with industrial style metal stairs - it does not lend itself to sticks either - they get caught up in the metal grid type flooring - you can do... More
