Brilliant meat section- Hebridean Lamb & Beef! Weavers interesting too!
The weaving aspect of this ‘attraction’ is very interesting. The machines alone are fascinating. I love the way they use their own produce and local natural dyes, although the dark Hebridean sheep colour is lovely. The end product you can then buy - either material by length, wool & wool products, jumpers, hats, flat caps. Now the important information The Meat! Bought in the freezer beautiful lamb or hoggit. Steaks & roasts - sausages are a must! A brilliant resource especially if visiting after October when many establishments are shut. & don’t forget the Bridies - made by local Maggie (we happened to meet her buying tatties for said bridies).

Well worth the trip just outside of Bunessan on Isle of Mull.
We were delighted to find this craft shop and production facility in tiny Ardalanish. Purchased a cap and blanket. The lady at the shop was quite helpful and conversational. Enjoyed eating some meat pies and ice cream that they provided, as well as a walk to the beautiful beach down below. Truly a Scottish wonderland outside of Bunessan on the Isle of Mull. An afternoon to remember.

Check out this place! A must see!
What a fantastic place! Kathy took us on a tour to watch the weaving process. It was so interesting how they use everything from the farm. From the wool to the dyes from their garden. Also the process of making the wool, very interesting and a must see if you are in the area. We were not hurried through and Kathy answered all our questions. Lovely place!

An incredible small and traditional weaving art in south Iona
Visiting this very special place made our tour of Mull Island even more surprising. A small weaving shop maintained with the purest sense of history and love told by the collaborators who belong to the families who live around them with old and heavy machinery with the wool manufactured and dyed by natural pigments located south of the island near the port is a spot not to miss. Amazing! Congratulations to your maintainers for maintaining this living tradition!

These are real weavers, doing real work. If you're polite and keep your hands off the looms, you can walk among the work and see how it's done. The weavers are happy to answer questions and let you watch the looms as they weave. You can see the plants that are used for dyes, the vast quantities of yard waiting and already warped, and all the tools of the trade. Then you can browse among finished products and maybe buy something. It's a welcoming place.

This is a weaving business located in the moorland of Mull. Fascinating history as to how it developed, exports world-wide and has beautiful fabrics. Talk about ‘killing two birds with the one stone’ En route we spotted two golden eagles and a hunting hen harrier

I had seen the sign for the Ardlandish Weavers while travelling around the Ross of Mull. The road leading to the farm is similar to many of the other roads on Mull, single track but surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The farm is well signed and there is plenty of parking. I was the only visitor for the time I was there and had the pleasure of the owners company for some time. She was very informative and friendly and spent some considerable time explaining the weaving process to me. The products that are made her are just beautiful. Their colours are created through natural products - mainly plants and flowers. The blankets or scarves or anything else they make, are great purchases for yourself or as a gift. The setting of the farm is delightful and just a stones throw from Adalanish Beach

We really enjoyed our visit to the weaving centre - particularly handy for us as we were staying only a short walk away at Ardachy House Hotel. Its near the end of a long peninsula so a bit out of the way unless you're on your way to Fionnphort to visit Iona. There's a food area, a shop and the loom room where they can be seen in action. They use a range of natural dye colours which are really lovely, and there's a big range of products on sale. Recommended.

It was a wet and rainy day on the Isle of Mull and our boat tour was cancelled. Gilian from the Ardness house recommended that instead we go to the weavers down the road. We had a blast, greeted by the owners and had a great tour. I actually bought a purse and absolutely love it, great memories of the isle of Mull.

The quality of the products made here is exceptional, and watching the Victorian machinery at work is fascinating. Beautiful rugs, scarves and throws spun, dyed and woven on site. Very much worth the trip to this remote part of Mull; and there’s even ice cream and a beautiful deserted beach nearby as well.

We visited Ardalanish farm and weavers and the shop on our recent visit to Mull. The kids really enjoyed seeing the weaving looms in use and learning about the natural plant based dyes being used. It's lovely to look round the farm and the beach down the hill is beautiful and tranquil.
There is a good farm shop selling the farm's and other local meat products. There is also a table with tea and coffee a available and an honesty jar, and pasties and home bakes to be bought. The weavers also has a shop in which wool and tweed and wool clothing can be purchased.
We went only intending being there for a couple of hours, but combined with visiting the beach were there more than half a day.
