I was driving around the Highlands and saw the sign for this museum. Lovely! Small and intimate but just packed with history and childhood memories. Gave me a great sense of the types of small schools and what teaching must have been like long before...More

You have to pay a small entrance fee for this which is in the old railway station. A really intersting insight into the history of the village.

This isn’t a particularly large museum, but it is very well done. I like the fact that they haven’t gone the easy route and simply displayed a large collection of toys. Instead, they have remained true to the name of the museum and concentrated on...More

The museum houses a good deal of contents and information on how the children in Strathpeffer enjoyed life in Victorian Times. Video, clothing, toys, education details etc. When you visit look up the rules that are required for a female teacher.
