If you want to see the beginning of the famous Loch Ness, you must stop in Fort Augustus. It's one small village, but has so much to offer. You can have a nice lunch in one of the cafes or just sit in the quay...More

Great week in Fort Augustus. Nice village with plenty of walks around. Some nice local shops, and access to cruises on Loch Ness.

A cold February day probably wasn't the ideal time to go on a boat trip on Loch Ness but the crew were great, witty and welcoming, an hour trip was enough to learn all about the loch and have a coffee or a dram. Then...More

Beautiful views of Loch Ness and the canals with a great variety of vessels passing through , the lochs are manned by local volunteers who are enthusiastic and friendly with help and information

Visited here as we were staying in the area for a week in January. We were in the area for walking. There is a couple of good walks nearby including along the River Oich and a bit more of a hilly walk at Torr Dhuin....More

Fort Augustus is a great base to explore The Scottish Highlands! If your looking for a comfortable stay highly recommend booking The Old Convent apartment - you won't be disappointed!
