The cruise is not worth the money (however Loch Ness is not that interesting in itself either). The cruise has a constant audio guide playing all over the boat and way to loud. You do not see anything you cannot see from land. You will be spending most of the time dragging your kids away from souvenir traps. The "sonar"... More

we hit the jackpot today! our tour guide has been on Lock Ness since he was 11 and a tour guide for 34 or something some years. His commentary was live, no fakey bakey plug in commentary. After his commentary.. we could ask questions, and he was more than happy to answer our questions. No hints at end for tips,... More

You get tickets at the gift shop and park in the hotel lot. Walk across to the pier and enjoy a narrated cruise. We added the castle tour for a fee. I enjoyed the Depth finder showing almost 80o feet deep.

You collect the tickets from the gift shop, and the woman in there is absolutely lovely. There was a wind turbine holding up the traffic so they even kept the boat for 5 minutes knowing we would be held up which was really lovely of them, they recommend a nice place to eat in the village where we went for... We took the boat ride to Urquart castle. The trip is a short 30 minute ride, but the lake was beautiful. The catamaran was very smooth on the lake and we had no worry about seasickness. As you approach the castle, the boat turns to give you good views for picture taking.

As part of our little break away we took a ride on the Nessie Hunter boat cruise on the Loch Ness, it was great fun! Little one was allowed to drive the boat (on auto pilot!), which he loved, beautiful scenery - we were very lucky with the sunny weather! George was very friendly and informative. Was well worth the... More

Just one hour length . Worth to laze away observing the lake and its surroundings. The captain would explain visual findings re the depth of the lake and at times mention the famous monster Nessie. Drinks are served at the bar .

We were very fortunate the day we cruised Loch Ness on the Nessie Hunter. The weather was extremely calm and the captain even commented on the mirror glass finish of the water. It was like a millpond and very unusual. The cruise includes a short bus ride to the dock and then approx 50 mins on the water. The commentary... More
