We were lucky enough to get on the tiny 4 man ferry across to Cape Wrath on what appeared to be a dreich dismal day. On arrival at the other side the sun began to peer out and we had a nice clear view once at the lighthouse. The 11 mile journey takes a full hour due to the poor... More

A wonderful trip, great commentary from the driver of the bus who knows no fear! Road was a track and he handled it like a pro, we had a great time. Scenery is stunning and would be a shame to miss

I was fortunate in that it was dry and sunny the day I arrived in Cape Wrath from Sandwood Bay at the end of a 58-day hike on the Scottish National Trail, and that there was no DND activity that day (14 September 2014). The warm welcome I had from John Ure at the lighthouse Oasis Cafe was simply superb... More

In a way this is a negative review as we did not get to Cape Wrath. I am writing this so that people understand that the trip is very much dependant on the weather. There is a very small boat to take you across the Firth and then a mini bus to the Cape itself. You are advised to phone... More

Stewart the minibus driver and John the ferry man shared great local knowledge and were friendly and funny - stopped the night at Kervaig with a magical beach to ourselves - simply stunning!

We walked the Cape Wrath Trail, starting from For William and finishing in the little Cafe. It was an intense journey, but the crown and glory was the stay at the Cafe. John went out of his way to make us feel welcome, he fed us great food, even offered us bubbly to celebrate the hike, made sure we were... More

May 2016 We were staying at the nearby Sango Sands campsite as part of a tour of Scotland with an old friend - her in her campervan and us in our caravan. We had heard of Cape Wrath and the stretch of road that is not connected to any other road and thought that we'd visit. We caught the ferry... More

We hiked the Cape Wrath Trail starting in Fort William. On the last day of hiking we arrived at Cape Wrath some time before noon - and were warmly greeted by the kind owner of the Ozone Café. We spent several hours there, enjoying sandwiches, crisps, hot chocolate and tea until we got the chance to catch a ride on... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Little boat across the Kyle - only 4 at a time then on the minibus for the 11 miles to the light house ( bumpy hour journey). The guide was great, friendly and interesting, Loved the place - so bleak and desolate with no-one living their permanently. Saw the lighthouse on a gorgeous sunny day -... More
