A fabulous historic village with a huge glorious cathedral and graveyard, lots of other history here too to discover, dates back to 1400, from memory

The cathedral has beautiful stained glass windows and an excellent church organ which was restored. There have been church buildings on the site for centuries. Well worth a visit. It is still the Church of Scotland Parish Church.

Was best man at my friends wedding. You cannot help but be overcome with the beauty and dignity of this amazing place of worship. Candles all lit and flowers arranged perfectly. A warmheart ceromany set the tone for an amazing day.

If you have in mind a cathedral reaching up to the skies with walls of stained glass and hundreds of meters long, then you will be disappointed. Dornoch, no larger than many modest parish churches and built in the 12th century and subsequently little altered...More

As a frequent visitor of Dornoch and an avid student of history, Dornoch Cathedral is a must see when traveling in the area. The historic importance and the exquisite beauty of the building are phenomenal. Do not miss this beautiful site.

Beautiful building with fantastic vaulted ceilings, wonderful stained glass windows and needlework cushions. Very tranquil and welcoming building, well worth a visit and like most highland churches absolutely free

Hi there - yes, there are services at 11:00am on Sunday mornings. The cathedral is a fully operational church, part of the Church of Scotland. I attended a wedding there (fabulous location), and the female minister is a hoot!
