Stunning views of the island Of Rousay & the Eynhallow Sound. dating from the 1st millenium , the broch tower is still impressive. A nice display of artefacts at the visitor centre. Very impressive & well worth a visit.

Really cool neolithic site that is easy to get to and not too busy. I think it rivals the Skara Brae site!

A hidden gem. Stunning views over to Rousay. A beautiful beach. Very helpful attendant. A fascinating place. Well laid out and explained on the boards.

Another fantastic site from the iron age. You can wander freely in the broch and the houses around it. It really brings home how these people lived way back then.

Orkney is rich with archaeological sites but this is the unsung jewel in the crown. Skara Brae is impressive but the Broch of Gurness is amazing. Having been taught about brochs at primary school I was stunned to discover that such a well preserved example...More

Wasn't planning visiting. We were out for a run in the sun. Long narrow winding road lead us to this gem. The site is beautifully maintained. Well worth a look

loved this little site overlooking Rousay. is well preserved with a broch in the middle. well worth a visit, very informative gentleman in the ticket office, fantastic views, free car park

We went when the Broch was technically closed, so looked for seals, watched the sun set at 11:00 pm, and saw local tractors out working under the rising almost-full moon.
