Dallas Dhu is no longer a working distillery but it's well worth your time to get the audio guide and explore the distillery. The audio guide provides some great information and since it's free, why not! You can get nearly as much information from the...More

Old distillery that is preserved by the Scotland tourism / heritage group. The only distillery on the historic passport, a nice self-guided visit with audio paddles.

Found out when we arrived that the distillery had closed 30 years ago when the market for whisky collapsed. Very knowledgeable gentleman. We had long talk about using American bourbon and spanish sherry kegs for flavouring scotch whisky. We did not visit the distillery buildings...More

This is a self guided tour with an audio guide. Which means you find out more and can do it at your own pace. We had previously done a guided tour of a working distillery and it wasn't half as good - mainly because the...More

This was a really good museum. Even if you've been to a whisky distillery before and seen it in operation I suggest this as you can get up really close to the apparatus in a way that you just can't in a working distillery. It...More

Plan for about an hour on this audio-guided tour. But you can spend as much time as you want. Lovely shop.

I was there in a group of 5 and there were a few other small groups as well which were being attended to with the tour. Not sure why they are not returning the call. But I guess you can drop in directly.

No scheduling required and there are staff present to assist. Drive in, park and walk over to the distillery shop and the staff there will greet you and start you on your tour. I hope this answers your question. Enjoy.
