We are a visitor Centre based at the mouth of the river Spey where it meets the North Sea. Dolphins are regularly seen at the mouth of the river Spey, along with ospreys, seals, a huge variety of bird life and the occasional otter! Join us for land based dolphin watching, tours of Scotland's largest surviving icehouse, wildlife walks and family fun days. There is a lovely shop and cafe on site as well as an interactive exhibition area with details of all the latest sightings. The Centre is run by Whale and Dolphin Conservation, so come and have a fun day out and learn about whales and dolphins and support our charity work to protect these wonderful creatures!

We visit here sometimes every weekend when it's nice weather. 3-4 times during holidays. We even visit when it's stormy. The views are beautiful, excellent place to bird watch, we've seen seals and dolphins quite often. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great information, the cafe is lovely. And lots of nice things to buy. A great place to visit,... More

We have been visiting the cafe at the WDC for several years and I am very sorry to say the cafe lets the WDC down badly. Since table service was introduced it is like no one knows what they are supposed to be doing. You can sit a long time waiting for someone to notice that you are even there.... More

I am really concerned to hear that this has been typical of your visits especially as we usually get really positive comments about how good the service... More

We visited this place whilst up in Elgin for the weekend. There is a nice little shop and also a café at the centre. There are CCTV cameras which are sited on the sea, and allows you to watch the dolphins on screens inside the centre. Also some nice little walks along the shore where you can look for the... More

Hi Lorraine Thank you for taking the time to write a review, it sounds like you had a really enjoyable visit? If you came on Monday or Tuesday the weather here was chilly but sunny and the landscape looks even more beautiful when the sun comes out! Best Lisa Lisa Farley Centre Coordinator More

Although the strong winds can be off putting the amazing view of the ocean is spectacular. The centre is cute with a cafe shop which looked busy and they had a nice learning area where you can listen to ocean animals and learn about them which is brilliant.

Didn't see any Dolphins but had a lovely walk up the river and out to the bay. Centre is interesting with interactive things for children.

Right by the mouth of the River Spey. Interesting centre, staff very friendly and engage well. There are remote viewing monitors for both the River and the Moray Firth inside - so you don't have to worry about the weather outside.

We stopped in the cafe here for lunch whilst walking the first leg of Speyside Way from Buckie to Fochabars. The service in the cafe was prompt and friendly. The food and drink were basic, but hot and tasty - just what we needed. Overall a good choice.
