Lovely walk from bangor Marian along the coastal path to see the big guns and history of the war. The stories of why the guns were there was interesting. Great views too! If you are visiting in the winter months, wrap up!=

My Husband and I went to Crawfordsburn Country Park today Sun 23rd Oct 2016, we took the costal route towards Belfast and came across this hidden gem on route. Great world war two historical site, well worth a visit the old guys who look after it are so helpful and realy keen to twel you the history of the fort and the guns

While walking in the park came across this history gem ! We were given a tour by a very enthusiastic volunteer and my history buff husband was in heaven ! It is a fascinating place full of amazing radios and equipment from the wars .Well worth a visit

This is one of the best kept secrets for anyone interested in military history. Its only open on Saturdays and Sundays but you are in for a real treat if you visit. And guess what its totally free of charge, run my volunteers who will happily provide you with endless stories. The two guns have been restored to full working... More

The Grey Point Fort is well worth a visit to see this wartime defence post. There is much to see and do and is manned by enthusiastic volunteers. There is an excellent war museum on the site. Great for families and an opportunity to inform the upcoming generations of the sacrifices made by many for the freedom we enjoy today.

A well presented museum with extremely enthusiastic volunteers.On our visit we had the good fortune to be shown a section not always open. Well worth a visit.

We took our 4 year old grandson he fell asleep in car so grandad walked round by himself enjoy the whole thing without us

Grey Point Fort is a gun emplacement in Helen's Bay, near Bangor. It's two 6" guns have been restored to enable them to fire blank charges. My husband and I visited Grey Point Fort a few weeks ago. If you are interested in anything Military and History this place is fantastic.
